German Soldiers

were there German soldiers enroled in the British army during WW2 ?
In the British cemetery of Bayeux in Normandy, there are the graves of 466 German soldiers. So, were they German soldiers, opposed to the Nazis, under the British flag during WW2, like there were Polish, French, etc… ?
The 366 German graves in the Bayeaux cemetery are all of serving soldiers from the German Army.
I doubt the number of Germans serving in the British Army would have been enough to make up a card school.
